Richard Corcoran adds $5,600 in October, spends $15,630 in HD 37 race
Rep. Richard Corcoran raised $5,600 in October for his House District 37 re-election push, according to the Florida Division of Elections.
To date, the conservative Land O’ Lakes Republican has collected $59,700 in his unopposed bid to keep his House seat, which covers much of Seminole County and the cities of Altamonte Springs, Forest city and Wekiwa Springs.
As a strong pro-life candidate, Corcoran received $500 donations last month from several pediatric organizations, including Plantation-based Pediatric Associates, Pediatric Health Choice at the Bishop Children’s Center in St. Petersburg and alternative-site health care services provider Lauren’s House.
Among the PACs donating to Corcoran’s campaign are Insuring Florida’s Future, the Florida Professional Employer Organization and Florida Onsite Wastewater.
Although he has not taken on a challenger in the District 37 race, Corcoran’s campaign has been actively investing in area causes, spending $15,630 on services such as printing and postage, as well as tickets to conservative events like the Christian pro-life West Pasco Pregnancy Center, the Florida Right to Life Education Fund and Friends of the NRA.
To date, Corcoran has spent a total of $39,185 on his re-election effort.
