Dr. Desai is currently the Chairman of the Board, President and CEO of Universal Health Care Group, Inc and serves the health care community through several associations. He founded Universal Health Care, Inc., and American Managed Care, LLC, both in 2002. From 1999-2000, Dr. Desai served as Chief of Staff and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Northside Hospital and Heart Clinic, as well as St. Petersburg General Hospital. From 1989-2000, he served as President for American Family & Geriatrics Care, PA. Dr. Desai was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2007.
