Speaker Designate Will Weatherford endorses Rep. Peter Nehr in increasingly competitive primary for House Seat 65

House Speaker Designate Will Weatherford today announced his endorsement of Representative Peter Nehr in his reelection campaign to the Florida House of Representatives.

“Representative Nehr has a voting record that reflects a strong conservative approach, as demonstrated by his 100% score from the American Conservative Union,” said Weatherford. “He has been an outspoken advocate on important issues such as immigration reform, comprehensive property insurance reform, and government accountability. Beyond his work in Tallahassee, Representative Nehr has an outstanding record of constituent service. He understands that working for the needs and interests of his local community is the first priority in public service.”

Continued Weatherford: “I fully support my friend Representative Nehr and look forward to working hard with him as he earns the votes of the people of House District 65.”

Weatherford’s support comes at a time when the primary for District 65 is becoming increasingly competitive.  This endorsement is the clearest indication yet that the GOP establishment is lining up behind Nehr.
