Rep. Kevin Rader dropping challenge to Maria Sachs, will join ultra competitive primary for District 27 instead

The newly drawn Senate District 27 appears likely to touch off a fierce primary fight among Palm Beach County Democrats.

The Palm Beach Post reports that former state Rep. Kevin Rader will join current Reps. Mack Bernard and Jeff Clemens in the race for the heavily Democratic Senate seat. The Post says Rader will drop a challenge to Sen. Maria Sachs, D-Boca Raton, in another South Florida district.
