It would appear pretty much every candidate for the Florida Legislature waited for the Independence Day holiday to pass before announcing the latest endorser of their campaign. There are just so many announcements flying around today, it is best to corral them all in one place.

In SD 4, Mike Weinstein has been endorsed by Penny Christian, Jacksonville Beach City Council and Maria Mark, Atlantic Beach Mayor Pro Tem.

In SD 22, Jeff Brandes has been endorsed by Sen. Anitere Flores.

In SD 24, Tom Lee has been endorsed by the National Rifle Association.

In HD 74, Doug Holder has been endorsed by the Florida Medical Association:

After recently receiving the endorsement of the Associated Industries of Florida Political Action Committee, Republican Candidate Doug Holder today announced that the Florida Medical Association (FMA) has endorsed his bid for the newly-drawn Florida House District 74 seat.

“The FMA is proud to endorse Doug Holder in his race for House District 74,” said John Katopodis M.D., president of the FMA PAC. “As an advocate for both medical professionals and their patients, Doug will fight to enhance the quality and availability of health care in our great state and is the right candidate to take on the health care challenges we face today.”

“I thank the FMA for their support of my campaign,” said Holder. “We all want the best for our patients and physicians, and I plan to continue to fight to bring a greater marketplace of healthcare to our state.  With the recent ObamaCare Supreme Court ruling, we have some work to do.  But, I know that through reforms aimed at reducing medical costs and providing for greater access to quality health care, we can protect the rights of all Floridians. I am committed to being the strong, conservative voice that District 74 needs!”

In HD 77, Dane Eagle has been endorsed by Associated Builders & Contractors

“Our industry’s unemployment rate is 18% in Florida, contractors have been particularly hard hit by the recession.” said Steve Cona, President/CEO of ABC’s Florida Gulf Coast Chapter. We needcandidates who understand we need help to improve the regulatory environment, so our industry can start putting Floridians back to work. We believe Dane Eagle shares our philosophy and we will do all we can to elect Dane Eagle to the Florida House.”
