Patrick Murphy campaign launches "What (Allen) West Said" website


Today, Patrick Murphy’s campaign announced the launch of its new website, The website gathers “all of the outlandish, extreme, and offensive remarks made by Tea Party leader Allen West over the past two years.”

Murphy’s campaign further announced that “the site features only actual comments made by West, including many that were labeled “False” or “Pants on Fire” by nonpartisan fact-checking website Politifact.”

Among the site’s many featured statements attributed to West are:

• 78 to 81 congressional Democrats are members of the Communist Party
• He has a security clearance higher than the President
• Social Security Disability is a form of modern-day slavery
• If you support Medicare the way it is, you can kiss the United States goodbye
