In House District 68, Democratic nominee Dwight Dudley announced endorsements from the Florida Professional Firefighters and the St. Petersburg Association of Firefighters.

The Firefighters had previously supported former lawmaker Frank Farkas during his time in office, but have chosen to back Dudley in 2012.

“I’m honored and humbled to have earned the support of Florida’s and Pinellas’ hardworking firefighters, who put their lives on the line for us,” said Dudley. “Firefighters and first responders are our neighbors, brothers, sisters, friends and our everyday heroes in the community. Their days often begin when ours end, and I’ll proudly fight for them in the Florida House.”

“We’re proud to support Dwight Dudley because he’s a common-sense voice for the middle class,” said Michael Blank, President of the St. Petersburg Association of Firefighters. “Our firefighters trust Dwight to make good choices motivated by good principles, and we know he’ll always put Florida’s families ahead of special interests in Tallahassee.”
