Republican Gov. Rick Scott and Democratic Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn made the media rounds Friday morning to continue the message that all is well in terms of the weather and the Republican National Convention is ready for visitors reports the News Service of Florida. The two were on the same message “We’ll be ready for it, we’re used to this,” Scott said on The Weather Channel. “”We deal with this every summer,” Buckhorn said on WFLA news radio in Tampa. Buckhorn said the city would likely see some heavy rain early in the week. “There will be some rain, there will be some wind,” Buckhorn said. “Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, we’ll be fine… The storm will be someone else’s problem…If (the track) keeps on moving, there really be no effect on the convention at all.”
