Marco Rubio: Charlie Crist ‘running out of parties’

Charlie Crist is “running out of parties” to support, but if the onetime GOP leader wants to speak at the Democratic National Convention, “that’s fine,” Sen. Marco Rubio said Monday night according to POLITICO.

“As any American does, he has his right to change parties and do anything he wants to do,” the Florida senator said on CNN. “He’s running out of parties to run under. But look, I think at the end of the day he has any choice that he wants to make, that’s fine. We’ll be interested to see what he says at the convention.”

Rubio’s remarks came hours after Crist, who has endorsed Obama, was announced as a speaker at next week’s Democratic convention in Charlotte.
