What’s happened to you, Publix sushi?

You once were so beautiful. You once possessed great value.

Now look at you. You’re an afterthought.

No one ever expected you to be toro tuna.  I understood that when I picked you out of the cold case, I wasn’t dining at Masa.

But now you’re nine pieces instead of twelve.  You’re no longer accompanied by a packet of that salty soy sauce.

Worst of all, your price keeps inching up. Soon you may cost as much as seven dollars for the most basic of rolls.

At that price, I might as well be sitting at the bar.

What’s happened to you, Publix sushi?
