Florida TaxWatch, a bipartisan watchdog of state tax policy, will release its annual list of cost savings suggestions for the 2014 Legislative Session today.
TaxWatch Center for Government Efficiency board members Dominic Calabro and John Alexander will be on hand at the Cabinet Room of the Florida Capitol to announce the list at 10 a.m.
Florida TaxWatch recommendations adopted by the Legislature have saved Florida taxpayers more than $4.2 billion since 2009. For over 30 years, Florida TaxWatch developed several detailed and relevant public policy reports; each designed to improve the state’s economic outlook.
Making up TaxWatch are homeowners, businesses large and small, labor organizations and retirees representing a cross section of Florida taxpayers. Members are committed to improving the health and prosperity of Florida by providing lawmakers with ways to increase government efficiency and accountability, as well as how to improve services and save tax dollars.
