Battleground poll of HD 68: Democrat Dwight Dudley leading prospective candidate, Republican Billy Young, 40% to 32%

St. Pete Polls has released the results of its latest survey of registered voters in House District 68, where Democratic incumbent Dwight Dudley will likely face Republican Billy Young, the son of the iconic congressman. 

Dudley leads Young 40% to 32% with 28% of respondents saying they are undecided. 

Asked about who they plan support in next year’s gubernatorial race, voters in House District 68 — the most battleground-y of legislative seats — prefer Charlie Crist (as a Democrat) over Republican incumbent Rick Scott 46% to 25%. Keep in mind, HD 68 is Crist’s home district.

The poll was conducted by an automated phone call polling system on August 1st and 2nd. The poll’s margin of error is +/- 3.2%.
