Citizens Property Insurance Corporation announced this morning that Michael Peltier has been tapped to serve as a ‘media relations manager.’
Peltier comes to Citizens from News Service of Florida where he was a member of the Capitol Press Corps responsible for legislative coverage with an emphasis on insurance, growth management, the environment, and the courts. Prior to his work with the News Service of Florida, he was placed on assignment for the 2004-2005 hurricane seasons where he covered storm impacts along the Gulf Coast.
Peltier will start work on Monday, February 25, and will report to Christine Ashburn, Citizens’ Director of Legislative and External Affairs.
“We are very excited to welcome Michael to our team here at Citizens,” said Ashburn. “His strong media relations expertise and extensive coverage of the insurance industry in Florida will be invaluable as Citizens works to better serve the people of Florida.”
