Florida State’s Dalvin Cook thinks he should win Heisman

Yes, FSU running back Dalvin Cook thinks he should win the Heisman Trophy.

Any questions.

Cook was talking after the team’s victory over North Carolina State about breaking the all-time Seminoles rushing record, previously held by Warrick Dunn when the questions came.

“Do you think you are one of the Heisman contenders?”

“Yep,” Cook said.

“Do you think you should go to New York?”

“Yep.”

Do you think you should win it?

“Yep.”

Asked to expand on his thoughts, Cook shrugged. “I just think if I keep playing and keep doing the things I do, eventually things will work out the way I want it to. I just feel like I’m one of them great running backs who needs the football.”

Cook finished with 138 yards on 22 carries, giving him 1,368 for the season. Earlier in the week, he had also said that he should win the award.

“In my eyes, yes, I am,” Cook said before the game. “Jamaal Charles, Le’Veon Bell, them guys that run with patience, and, you know, just know when to do things at the right time — just know the knowledge of the game.”
