Former Senate President Haridopolos now a lobbyist

Mike Haridopolos isn’t leaving Tallahassee altogether — the former Senate president is now an executive branch lobbyist for Railex LLC, according to the Orlando Sentinel’s website.

The paper also reported that Haridopolos will be taking a job as an executive vice president of the Stronach Group, which owns the Gulfstream Park pari-mutuel facility. Because of state ethics rules, Haridopolos would have to wait until at least the 2014-16 session to lobby the Legislature if he wants to do so.
