Governor Rick Scott released the following statement following Boeing’s announcement that they are consolidating their flight training devices and certain operations from Seattle to the Boeing Flight Services training campus in Miami:
Governor Rick Scott said, “Boeing’s announcement that they are investing more of their business in Florida is great news for Florida families. Over the last two years, we have cut taxes and regulations to support job creation. Now we know, it’s working. More and more companies from around the world are moving to Florida.”
Gray Swoope, President & CEO, Enterprise Florida Inc. said, “We appreciate Boeing’s confidence in Florida to serve as their hub for their flight training facilities to better serve their customers. Boeing’s decision validates that Florida is the perfect climate for business!”
“This is about getting closer to our customers, doing what is right for them and bringing them the best product support and services in the industry” said Sherry Carbary, vice president, Flight Services of Boeing Commercial Aviation. “If we are going to better serve our customers and meet training commitments and airplane deliveries as we ramp up on rate, the time to do this is now.”
