Officially, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush hasn’t thrown his support behind either of the GOP candidates for the U.S. Senate. But in an interview with WGCU in Fort Myers, he expressed pride in candidate Marco Rubio’s campaign.
“Punditry is fun, but the actual decision will be made in August,” Bush said.
“I’m proud of what Marco has been able to accomplish in the campaign, but there’s a long, long way to go,” he said.
It’s no secret that Bush has clashed in the past with the other Senate candidate – Gov. Charlie Crist. Recent polls show Rubio pulling ahead of Crist among Republicans. (h/t to Valerie Alker.)
