Unless I missed something, this invitation to an event for House District 65 candidate Chris Sprowls represents the first legislative fundraiser of the 2013-14 election cycle.

Let the games begin!

The event, hosted by Speaker Will Weatherford, Speaker Designates Steve Crisafulli and Richard Corcoran and Rep. Jose Oliva, is planned for February 12, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at — where else — the Governor’s Club in Tallahassee. 

Sprowls is eyeing the seat currently held by Democratic State Rep. Carl Zimmermann.
