The German-born, Florida-based Czech Nicole Vaidistova has drawn comparisons to Maria Sharapova, who was 17 when she won Wimbledon in 2004. Nicole Vaidistova pulled off her second successive shocker at Roland Garros, beating Williams 6-7 (5), 6-1, 6-3 to earn her first Grand Slam semifinal berth.

I met Nicole last year at The Vinoy and I knew then that she would be my new favorite. What’s better than a six-foot, blonde Eastern European girl (just like my loves Sasha and Katrina) who plays tennis?
