Oh boy, Matt Gaetz files ‘anti-Latvala’ amendment to Latvala’s ethics bill

Check out the amendment Rep. Matt Gaetz has tacked on to Sen. Jack Latvala ethics bill. You might as well label Gaetz’ amendment the ‘anti-Latvala’ amendment.

It reads:

“It is unlawful for a member of the Legislature or a company controlled by a member of the Legislature to be paid as a vendor from a candidate’s campaign account by a person seeking nomination or election to a state or local elective office in this state.”

Whoever could that be directed at, Rep. Gaetz?

It wouldn’t be a certain State Senator whose two firms received more than $200,000 for campaign-related work during the previous election cycle?

Yeah, this proposed amendment’s gonna go over real well…
