Capital City Consulting today announced Ken Granger as the newest addition to its team of established, dedicated government affairs consultants. In addition to his private sector experience, Granger brings 12 years of extensive public sector experience in administration, technology and procurement processes to augment Capital City Consulting’s advocacy efforts on behalf of its clients. During his time in the public sector, Granger served as deputy chief of staff and policy director for Governor Charlie Crist, chief of staff and deputy secretary for the Department of Management Services, among other high-caliber positions.
“Since we started the firm more than 10 years ago, Gerald, Ron, and I have been committed to delivering winning results for our clients, and we are looking forward to the unique perspective and invaluable experience Ken will bring to our growing team,” said Nick Iarossi, partner at Capital City Consulting. “Ken is considered one of the most knowledgeable and effective advocates on large public sector procurements and state agency processes. His in-depth understanding of state policies makes him a powerful resource to clients who rely on us to develop business opportunities, strategic alliances, and provide effective counsel to deliver success.”
Granger draws on his experience as the Governor’s chief of staff, where he oversaw numerous government agencies, including the Department of Health, Agency for Health Care Administration, Department of State, Department of Community Affairs, Agency for Persons with Disabilities, and Florida’s Energy and Climate Commission. As the Governor’s policy director, Granger directed executive policy and budget issues that were adopted by the Florida Legislature, as well as briefed and recommended substantive policy and budget changes to the Governor.
“I am thrilled to join Capital City Consulting’s team,” said Granger. “Their well-known success and team of first-rate government consultants makes this a truly exciting move and I am ready and looking forward to this new opportunity.”
Granger also served as the chief of staff, deputy secretary and chief information officer for the Department of Management Services, where he focused on administration, procurement, facilities, and technology. Granger is a graduate of the Florida State University’s College of Business and is a certified project management professional.
