Service set for former lawmaker Fred Karl

A memorial service is tentatively scheduled next Friday in Tampa for former state lawmaker and Supreme Court Justice Frederick Karl, who died Thursday at age 88, according to the state Senate. Karl served in the House from 1957 to 1964 and in the Senate from 1968 to 1972. He was a member of the Supreme Court from 1977 to 1978.

The memorial service is tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. March 15 at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 South Franklin St., Tampa.
