Santana, a candidate for the District 5 seat on the Pinellas School Board, has three fundraisers set for the next three weeks. Democrat Augie Ribeiro has pumped another $100,000 of his own money into his campaign against three current and former lawmakers in the newly redrawn Senate District 19. The St. Petersburg attorney has now loaned or contributed more than $500,000 to his campaign in the district, which covers parts of Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. State records show the fundraising committee — which is backing the solar-energy ballot initiative — received no contributions between July 2 and July 15. Florida Grown, the political committee that likely will fuel Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam‘s bid for higher office, posted more than $218,000 in contributions for June. That’s up from about $185,000 in contributions in May. Committees face a deadline for reporting their latest numbers on Friday. The committee released its figures early on its own website.
