Stimulus has helped 153,000 Florida workers
The grand total of Florida workers who were helped directly or indirectly by jobs saved or created since the start of the stimulus bill more than a year ago amounts to 153,000. That’s the estimate from the Federal Council of Economic Advisers. Jobs “saved” means layoffs that were prevented as a result of the bill, officially known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
