New Orleans Saints players, coaches and staff knelt before the start of the national anthem but stood in unison once it began ahead of their game against the Miami Dolphins at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
Miami Dolphins coach Adam Gase is declining to discuss linebacker Lawrence Timmons‘ future with the team, which may be brief. Timmons went AWOL Saturday, the day before the Dolphins’ season opener at the Los Angeles Chargers. The Dolphins filed a missing person report before making contact with Timmons, who apparently was dealing with a personal matter.
The second-highest ranking official in the Florida Highway Patrol is resigning amid an ongoing review into whether troopers were being ordered to meet traffic ticket quotas.
