The Florida Elections Commission found Tuesday that former state Rep. Reggie Fullwood had committed 17 violations of Florida’s campaign financial disclosure rules and fined him $1,000 on each count — a total of $17,000. The case involved failure to disclose more than $17,000 in contributions to Fullwood’s 2014 campaign, and to disclose contributions worth more than $13,000. The report cards are out, and three dozen state lawmakers got top marks from one of Florida’s leading advocates for economic freedom. On Tuesday, Americans for Prosperity-Florida released its annual Economic Freedom Scorecard. A Florida lawmaker is facing federal fraud charges after authorities say he used campaign money to pay for personal expenses like liquor, jewelry, flowers and groceries. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Jacksonville announced Friday that Democratic Rep. Reggie Fullwood was indicted on 10 charges of wire fraud and four counts of failing to file tax returns.
