From The Fix: Speculation continues to run rampant regarding Florida Gov. Charlie Crist‘s (R) political future with some outlets insisting that a speech explaining the party-switch is already in the works while other sources tell the Fix that no such move is in the offing.
With the “will he or won’t he” debate running wild, the most commonly cited comparison to where Crist finds himself is Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) who, after losing the Democratic primary to cable television magnate Ned Lamont in 2006, ran and won as an independent.
