Will Weatherford ‘not interested’ in replacing Jennifer Carroll as LG

Well, that’s one name off the list.

Speaker Will Weatherford, term limited from running again in 2014 and just the kind of energetic conservative leader who could imbue Rick Scott’s administration, says he’s “not interested” in replacing Jennifer Carroll as Scott’s Lieutenant Governor.

The Florida Times-Union reports that Carroll’s resignation will be announced shortly. It comes amid an investigation into Carroll’s involvement with Allied Veterans of the World, a non-profit that operates internet cafes in Florida and is being investigated for racketeering.
